Chris Pine Takes a Bad Guy Role in New Line's 'Horrible Bosses 2'
Though Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon was originally slated to reunite with the film's stars Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx, news came last month that We're the Millers co-writer Sean Anders was going to take over as director. In addition, his She's Out of My League and Hot Tub Time Machine writing partner John Morris will produce, after the duo completed a rewrite of the original draft by the first film's writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Now new cast members are being added to Horrible Bosses 2 as Variety reports Star Trek star Chris Pine will play a bad guy.
Pine would play the younger half of a father-son duo who steal an idea for an invention concocted by the three main characters. We're not sure if they're the only bad guys this time around though. Originally, Christoph Waltz was being sought for a role, but he turned out not to be available. That would have been a fun pairing, but we've probably seen enough of Waltz as a bad guy for awhile. We'll likely hear more casting soon as production looms closer. Philip Seymour Hoffman or Jack Nicholson would be a great addition to the cast, but one's busy and one is picky. Any other suggestions?

I like it...hopefully it'll be a start for Pine to take on more villainous roles.

It's nice to see him do something different.

I didn't care for the first one. Maybe they can turn it around on the second one.
