Well, this is certainly a strange assembly of talent. Charlize Theron is already attached to star in and produce self-explanatory comedy called Murder Mystery from The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Shakespeare in Love director John Madden. And now she might be joined by some interesting American and British talent. THR reports NRW Filmstifftung made a casting announcement saying Colin Firth, Emily Blunt and mediocre comedy giant Adam Sandler were all boarding the project, however, a few hours after the news surfaced, the company redacted their statement and took it off their funded project list.
We're not really sure if the announcement was just premature, but representatives for Blunt and Firth have said the two are not involved in the project. That could just be damage control, or they might just be saying that if there's not a done deal. Either way, I like the sound of this project, and if someone like Sandler is really involved, then I'm even more intrigued. This could be one of those good movies he chooses to make every few years like Reign Over Me or Punch-Drunk Love before he goes back to stupid, goofball antics.

Stupid goofball movies are great in small doses. We all have at least one favorite.

glad Sandler is getting into a diffrent role, remember he was suppose to play i think Tom Cruise's role in Collateral. i do enjoy Sandler comedies, got almost all of his films on Dvd. but it's cool to see Sandler doing something totally diffrent.
