Comedian Ken Marino & Wife Hired to Adapt 'Go the F*ck to Sleep'

After a reading by Samuel L. Jackson took the Internet by storm, the children's book for adults, Go the Fuck to Sleep, written by Adam Mansbach and illustrated by Ricardo Cortes, became quite the popular item. And as is the case with any tangible property that becomes popular nowadays, the book is headed to the big screen. Deadline reports Fox 2000 has just hired comedian Ken Marino (Role Models, Wanderlust, Wet Hot American Summer) and his wife Erica Oyama Marino to adapt the funny book into a film with The Twilight Saga producer Karen Rosenfelt and All You Need is Kill producer Erwin Stoff. More below!
Here's Samuel L. Jackson reading the book with a masterful use of the word "fuck" as only he can deliver:
Ken Marino should be a familiar face from his appearances in various comedies, but he may be even more recognizable for his TV appearances as part of the sketch comedy show "The State," the sadly short-lived series "Party Down," and the Adult Swim hit "Children's Hospital." He and his wife teamed up for the web series, which has been airing on E! called "Burning Love," a perfect skewing of reality dating series like "The Bachelor" with tons of great comedic talent, including Ken Marino as the man looking for love. Erica Oyama Marino created the series, and it's better than most comedy series airing today.
As for his writing, Marino's work on "The State" speaks for itself, and he also helped fellow comedian David Wain with the scripts for Role Models and Wanderlust. While I'm not exactly sure how this book can be turned into a story that fills an entire feature film, if there's a comedian I can trust to do something innovative, funny and brilliant with the material, it's Marino and his talented wife. If they're scripting, here's hoping some of their comedian friends end up getting involved behind and/or in front of the camera.

This book was funny and cute to parents only for about 5 minutes and then it wasn't. A movie? Seriously? Good lord.
