'Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens is Lancelot in 'Night at the Museum 3'
Director Shawn Levy is returning for Night at the Museum 3, the family friendly adventure franchise starring Ben Stiller, and just last month the lead actor was confirmed to return to the franchise along with Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt. We're still waiting to learn what museum will be the setting for this third adventure, though we know Stiller's character Larry Daley ends up in London this time, but now we have a villain cast in the film. THR reports "Downton Abbey" and The Fifth Estate star Dan Stevens will play Lancelot. However, we're not sure why he's the bad guy since no plot details have surfaced. Read on!
Previously, it was announced that the sequel would arrive on December 14th, 2014, but if the film is just beginning production next February, we're not sure of Levy can meet the release date that quickly. Surely, there will be plenty of special effects to complete and a nine month turnaround for a film like this just seems a little risky. The film seems like it would be better for the spring or summer. There's likely plenty more characters joining the mix in the sequel, and most likely with performances from actors across the pond, so stay tuned to see who else ends up in the sequel and if the film will indeed have a release date change.

I actually enjoy the Night at the Muesum films. Saw the last two in IMAX and they were a blast to watch. It's like a live action version of Toy Story but set in a Muesum with all these historic characters. I'll definitely be looking forward to this one. It does seem risky though for a December release date when they haven't started production yet.
