Drew Struzan How to Train Your Dragon 2

Struzan is back! While we wait for the documentary about poster artist Drew Struzan, titled Drew: The Man Behind the Poster, to premiere at Comic-Con, another Struzan item is also being premiered in San Diego. DreamWorks Animation has teased a new Drew Struzan-designed teaser poster for How to Train Your Dragon 2, which they'll be giving away (at their booth?) at Comic-Con this week. The one question that comes to mind whenever I think of Struzan: why the heck isn't he still being hired for more work? Glad to see they got him to do something, especially the How to Train Your Dragon sequel - did you see the teaser?!

To tease the Struzan poster, they made a Vine featuring #HTTYD2 director Dean DeBlois. We presume this will be available at a booth on the Comic-Con showfloor. We'll update with HQ version when available.

If you haven't seen it yet, catch the first exhilarating teaser trailer for DWA's How to Train Your Dragon 2.

The thrilling second chapter of the epic How To Train Your Dragon trilogy brings back the world Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and Toothless five years later. While Astrid (America Ferrera), Snotlout (Jonah Hill) and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island's new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace. Fox will release DWA's How to Train Your Dragon 2 in theaters June 20th, 2014 next summer.

At Comic-Con back in 2009, DreamWorks Animation was selling How to Train Your Dragon art by concept artist Pierre-Olivier Vincent, who did a lot of early artwork for the film. Cool to see Drew Struzan in the mix.
