With the delay of Warner Bros. comedy reboot of Vacation, the hilarious Ed Helms had an open spot in his schedule this summer, and it's just been filled. Variety reports Helms will co-star in Stretch, the new film from director Joe Carnahan led by his A-Team villain Patrick Wilson. Paranormal Activity and Insidious producer Jason Blum and his Blumhouse Pictures banner are behind the project which follows a down-on-his-luck chauffeur (Wilson) looking to relieve his severe debt by driving around a mysterious billionaire who drags him to hell and back. So now we know that the title refers to a limousine. More below!
Helms will be playing the billionaire, but that's all we know so far. Many questions still remain, especially pertaining to the relationship these two have, what kind of problems this billionaire gets his driver into, and whether or not this will be more of an action comedy or a straight up thriller. The plot sounds somewhat similar to something like Collateral, but with someone like Helms involved, there has to be some kind of comedic angle, maybe along the lines of Carnahan's wild Smokin' Aces or the aforementioned adaptation of The A-Team. Either way, we're interested to see how this turns out.

Stretch is going to be fantastic, I can't say much but it's going to be a comedy, and not a drama like Collateral.
