Ellen Page to Fight for 'Queen & Country' in Secret Agent Adaptation
This year, Ellen Page fought corporations as part of an underground activist ring in The East, and next year she'll reprise her role as Kitty Pryde in X-Men: Days of Future Past. And for her next project, Page will be sticking around 20th Century Fox as Variety reports the Juno star is in talks to lead the spy action thriller Queen & Country, adapted from Greg Rucka's comic book series. In what sounds like a potential female Jack Ryan, the story follows Tara Chace, a British Intelligence agent who tries to stop an international terrorist plot after her identity is compromised and as her personal demons spiral out of control. Read on!
The comic series was inspired by the British ITV television series "The Sandbaggers" from the late 70s and won the Eisner Award. Transformers writer John Rogers will script the film, but no director has been tapped for the project yet. Though Page has seen action in the X-Men series and Inception, she doesn't seem like the best choice for the role. However, the project might benefit from not picking a normal action-ready leading lady, and it could bring her into a whole new arena for her career. Now we just have to wait and see who will be behind the camera. Anyone interested?

Love Ellen Page for a role like this! Whichever director is put in charge will definitely sway my opinion on the project.
