Ewan McGregor Reuniting with Natalie Portman for 'Jane Got a Gun'

While we wait for Star Wars: Episode VII to come together with director J.J. Abrams, who recently confirmed that he expects John Williams to come back to score the film, a Star Wars reunion is happening in the indie world. The troubled production of Jane Got a Gun recently lost Bradley Cooper as their replacement for Jude Law as the villain in the western drama. Now Deadline has word that producer and star Natalie Portman has landed her Star Wars prequel trilogy co-star Ewan McGregor to take over the role, and he's currently sorting out a deal to join the film which is already in production now. More below!
For those who haven't been following the project, the story follows a woman (Portman) whose outlaw husband (Noah Emmerich) returns home barely alive and riddled with bullet wounds, forcing her to reach out to an ex-lover (Joel Edgerton) to help defend her farm when her husband’s gang (led by McGregor) tracks him down to finish the job. Gavin O'Connor (Warrior) is now directing after Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin) didn't show up for the first day of shooting. Now that the cast is complete again, let's hope all stays quiet on the indie western's front.

They should really just drop this movie already and move on.

The fact that they're not dropping it tells me that it's a phenomenal spec script.
