"How are things?" They're back! The other old, retired, badass action stars movie (and I'm not talking about The Expendables) that was a surprise hit in 2010, RED, is back with an action-packed sequel this year. They brought back most of the team of "RED" (Retired Extremely Dangerous) agents: Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins and of course, the one-and-only Helen Mirren. This time they're also bringing in Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee as the villain, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough, too. This looks like an amusing, entertaining, bigger, better, badder sequel. Have fun!
Watch the very first teaser trailer for Dean Parisot's sequel RED 2, originally from Apple:
Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Fun with Dick and Jane) will be taking over for director Robert Schwentke on RED 2, and the story follows our veteran team of retired spies (Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren) as they use their old school methods to face new enemies across Europe. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-Hun Lee join the mix this time and Anthony Hopkins shows up, too. RED is based on the comic book series written by Warren Ellis and artist Cully Hamner published by WildStorm. Summit will be releasing RED 2 in theaters everywhere on August 2nd, 2013 this summer. Lookin' good?

Looks like a step up from the first one. I kinda hope Karl Urban shows up. Galaxy Quest and Fun with Dick and Jane were great...hopefully this is on par.

GALAXY QUEST!!! One of my favorite "kinda bad. but I still really liked it" movies. Haha. Tony Shaloub was classic in that film.

How can you say this looks like a step up from the last one? No Morgan Freeman?? Plus the trailer was boring as hell. Love the Hopkins addition but they show .2 seconds of him in the trailer. They seem to be banking on Zeta-Jones and Lee... Big mistake when the rest of the cast is that awesome. Neil McDonough....... really? Also up for a Karl Urban cameo AT LEAST!

Woah, looks really good. I liked RED, though it was not amazing, it was definitely fun getting to see "older" actors, other than Sly, Arnold, and Neeson, get to play action stars! I will check this out.

Probably just a bit role like the first one (sadly). Poor Mr. Cox is sooo under valued these days.

I use to be in love with Mary-Louise Parker. "Is there a...human being...in the trunk?" Love it.

Yeah wondering why Brian Cox falls in the list of actors in the movie "this time". His character had a part in the whole story in the first one. Just asking.
