First Teaser Trailer for 'Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters' Adaptation

"I don't know about you, but my school can get a little insane." The Weinstein Co has finally debuted a trailer for Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters, the next young adult vampire adaptation based on a series of best-selling novels (haven't we had enough?). This time an entire school is filled with half-vampires called Dhampir, and it follows the story of Rose Hathaway, played by Zoey Deutch, whose legacy is to protect the Moroi from immortal vampires. The ensemble cast includes Danila Kozlovsky, Olga Kurylenko, Joely Richardson, Sarah Hyland and Gabriel Byrne. If you're somehow still into vampires give this a taste.

Adapted from Richelle Mead's bestselling series of young adult books. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discretely within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi. This is her story.
Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters is directed by American filmmaker Mark Waters, of the films Freaky Friday, Mean Girls, Just Like Heaven, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Mr. Popper's Penguins previously. The screenplay was written by Daniel Waters based on Mead's first book. The Weinstein Company will release Vampire Academy in theaters starting February 24th, 2014 next year.

a hour and a half long movie with just a dog licking its own balls is better that the twilight movies, i got dragged to watch all of them by my gf 🙁

Vulgar? I didn't see anything vulgar... Silly though? Very likely. But sure I quit on Vampires long time ago, when the Twilight series started :p

It's not stupid of awful. this is a teaser trailer! The books are really good and full of humor, love and myths. And it's NOTHING like twilight!!! I can't wait for the movie!!

In my unbiased opinion (which is that i'm totally done with vamp movies), this look bad, yet stilllll kind of fun. Might give it a chance on the ol' netflix

It is a pity people use 'Twilight' to change their own opinions about 'vampires' ... vampire were sexy BEFORE Twilight came around and will continue to be sexy long AFTER Twilight is forgotten.
