Flubs Galore in Amusing Previously Unseen 'Star Wars' Blooper Reel
Author and Lucasfilm editor J.W. Rinzler has dived deep into the making of Star Wars with his stellar book series on the original trilogy (his most recent effort on Return of the Jedi just hit shelves), and his efforts have turned up some amazing photos, information and trivia from behind the scenes. Rinzler revealed one of the more entertaining discoveries at Comic-Con this past summer in the form of a blooper reel from the original 1977 film. There's no sound at first because those scenes didn't have dialogue, but don't worry, there's audio after the first minute. It's a look at Star Wars we haven't seen before. Watch it!
Here's the blooper reel for Star Wars, brought to our attention by Comic Book Movie:
It's rather amusing to see Peter Cushing go from being the intimidating Grand Moff Tarkin to just another charming British actor who flubbed a line on set. There's also some great shots of special effects lasers gone wrong, breaking the set, and causing one stormtrooper to stumble quite spectacularly. We wish there were more hilarity, but at least we now know the dedication Mark Hamill had to saying supernova correctly.
That piece of scenery shot first.

Priceless footage. Those Stormtroopers slipping around is fantastic. And that Landspeeder shot looked surprisingly cool until the malfunction.
