Frank Grillo

Next year we'll see Frank Grillo get tangled up with Captain America: The Winter Soldier (fans who saw Thor: The Dark World in IMAX already saw him in action with a tease before the film), but now he's getting involved in a different sequel. Deadline has word that Grillo will lead the sequel to last year's low-budget horror thriller The Purge. There was speculation recently that the film might be called The Zone, but this news pegs the sequel as being given the laborious title of The Next Chapter of The Purge. Since Blumhouse Productions already has Insidious: Chapter 2, I guess they had to change the title format a little.

It's not clear what story the sequel will tell yet, but we're hoping it greatly expands the scope of the first film's intriguing concept. One night a year, all crime is legal in the United States for 12 hours. In the first film, a family caught themselves in a tiff with a group of killers just looking to enjoy The Purge after one of their children let someone on the run into their "secure" home. It's not clear if any of the original cast will be involved, but we'd rather see a new group of characters followed in this new horror universe where The Purge exists. The Next Chapter of The Purge isslated to hit theaters on June 20th, 2014. Excited?

it would cool to see a story that focuses around a group having to travel through the world, maybe some sort of rescue mission. I just hope they really explore the world more, and maybe not focus on a rich family. It'd be interesting to see what how this world affects the poor more.

I want them to explore new characters as well. But i kind of want Adelaide Kane to come back.
