Last Vegas

"I'm gonna find some damn water, then take all my damn pills, and then we gonna get this damn party started." After an entertaining teaser trailer debuted earlier this year, the geriatric comedy Last Vegas has debuted a full trailer, and it looks pretty damn funny. No doubt this will land with a huge splash with the older crow, but it looks like this might be a funny romp for the youngsters as well. Touted as The Hangover for old people, Michael Douglas is marrying someone half his age, and rounds up his childhood friends Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline for a bachelor party. Shenanigans ensue. Watch!

Here's the full trailer for Jon Turteltaub's Last Vegas from Yahoo:

Last Vegas is directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure, The Kid, Phenomenon) and written by Dan Fogelman (Tangled, Crazy Stupid Love) and Adam Brooks (Definitely Maybe, French Kiss). Three sixty-something friends (Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline) take a break from their day-to-day lives to throw a bachelor party in Las Vegas for their last remaining single pal (Michael Douglas) who is marrying a woman half his age. The comedy from CBS Films hits theaters November 1st this fall. Funny?

This looks really funny! It's like the 'Expendables' of comedy! I'm there!

I thought The Expendables was The Expendables of comedy? Most of the dialogue and acting made me laugh out loud.

Heh. What a cast. These guys could be put together to do nearly any type of film. Can you see them in a heavy crime drama about aging lifelong criminals, or how about a group of Vietnam vets who are helping Iraq veterans cope with life after the war...or they could be doing a buddy comedy in Vegas. See what I mean?

I do dabble, but have never tried to get anything looked at with seriousness. I took film classes in high school and college, with an intent on being a screenwriter, and then life happened. It's never too late though, so I continue to "dabble."

So it's The Hangover but with old farts and no day-after amnesia? Do you think they cast Michael Douglas simply for the woman-half-his-age joke?
