Earlier this week, we highlighted the newest book from J.W. Rinzler going behind the scenes of Return of the Jedi, and every Star Wars fan should make sure to pick it up. Now there's a cool book coming next week for a different kind of cinephile. Wes Anderson has his own quirky little world that he's brought to life on the big screen, and he has plenty of devoted fans out there who love each and every one of his films. Now Pulitzer Prize winning writer Matt Zoller Seitz has put together The Wes Anderson Collection, described as an "in-depth overview of Anderson’s filmography, guiding readers through his life and career."
Here's a cool trailer taking a look at The Wes Anderson Collection via SlashFilm:
The official synopsis says, "A true auteur, Anderson is known for the visual artistry, inimitable tone, and idiosyncratic characterizations that make each of his films—Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Moonrise Kingdom—instantly recognizable as “Andersonian.” The Wes Anderson Collection is the first in-depth overview of Anderson’s filmography, guiding readers through his life and career." There are previously unpublished photos, artwork, a long conversation with Anderson himself and much more for all his most devoted fans. Sound good?
