Full Length Trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson's Disaster Epic 'Pompeii'

It's Gladiator meets Dante's Peak in Pompeii, the newest film from Resident Evil franchise director Paul W.S. Anderson. With a story that follows slaves fighting in an arena, Kit Harrington finds himself in even more danger when Mount Vesuvius begins to erupt and destroy the city and all its inhabitants. However, he must also try to save the woman he loves (Emily Browning) in the midst of this volcanic disaster. The film comes to theaters in 3D next February, however, it looks far too dark and smoky to actually look good in the format. Even in 2D, it's difficult to see many of the actors in all the smoke and ash.
Here's the new full trailer for Paul W. S. Anderson's Pompeii, originally from Yahoo:
Set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, a slave on a ship heading for Naples works to get home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside of the city's coliseum.
Pompeii is directed by everyone's favorite filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson, of the Resident Evil franchise (including Afterlife and Retribution), Mortal Kombat, Event Horizon, Alien vs. Predator, Death Race and 2011's The Three Musketeers. The screenplay currently has credits for Janet Scott Batchler and Lee Batchler plus Julian Fellowes and Michael Robert Johnson. FilmDistrict will be releasing Pompeii starring Kit Harrington and Emily Browning in theaters on February 21st, 2014 next year. Anyone interested?

Not sure about the film but there is a quality about Mr. Eko that I cannot describe. A combination of mesmerizing and intimidating if I had to try. And I enjoy it all too much!

loving the horse outrunning the pryoclastic surge, brings back memories of John Cusack outrunning everything by inches in 2012. just because you *can* do it in CG, doesn't mean you *should*. anyway, this can't be a Paul WS Anderson film, as his wife isn't in it.

It's directed by Paul WS Anderson...so it's kind of throwing me off how 'pretty decent' the movie seems to be looking.

So this is basically the Titanic with a volcano instead of an iceberg, right?

I don't see any issues at all with this trailer. Looks good. I must say that Im not a big fan of Paul W but he does good action so maybe this is something he can succeed at. Who knows. Not bad of a trailer at all.

We should all gather for our own 4D showing. Soon as the mountain blows, we all start chain smoking.
