Harrison Ford Confirmed for 'The Expendables 3' But Bruce Willis Out

Harrison Ford

Okay, this is getting out of control, but in a good way. The Expendables 3 is already boasting one of the most impressive casts ever assembled for an action film, at least when it comes to veteran action stars. Sylvester Stallone leads the pack and he's joined by familiar franchise faces like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren and new cast members like Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes and Milla Jovovich (Nicolas Cage is not confirmed). Now the unthinkable has happened with Stallone confirming on Twitter that Harrison Ford has joined the cast, but Bruce Willis will not return.

Ford has been wanted for the franchise since Avi Lerner mentioned his name last summer just before The Expendables 2 hit theaters. With Ford joining up and Mel Gibson seemingly playing the villain, this could turn out to be more fun than the second film, which was vastly more entertaining than the first adventure, which seemed to take itself too seriously. It would be nice if Cage ended up getting involved, but we're happy with the cast as it stands right now. Eventually Stallone is going to have to bring people back from the dead to make these films any bigger. The Expendables 3 arrives on August 15th, 2014.

actually, he said he didnt talk to the entire cast during the filming because he wanted to be in character the whole time. sounds like he took it a little too seriously.

A nod to the sword scene in Raiders would go over well with me.

At this point, Harrison is good for voice-overs and not much more.

"Eventually Stallone is going to have to bring people back from the dead to make these films any bigger." - he's not already?! I could have sworn most of the actors in E2 were stiffs. I thought it was hilarious with Stallone shitting on Willis on the way out, calling him greedy and lazy, saying it was a sure formula for career failure. Yeah, Willis is living hand-to-mouth these days, Sly.

Why hasn't he tapped Cynthia Rothrock to be in one of these yet. That would be better than Milla Jovovich.

While i loved cynthia rothrock's flicks back in the day, she'd be the wrong choice today. Mila is younger, prettier, better m/a.
