Hayley Atwell

In addition to Tom Hiddleston being in the mix to lead the reboot of The Crow, last week also brought news that the star of Thor and The Avengers was joining Gemma Arterton in Capa, a film about renowned war photographer Robert Capa, focusing on his two year romance with fellow photographer Gerda Taro during the Spanish Civil War. However, Screen Daily now has word that the project is called Close Enough, and it will be Captain America: The First Avenger star Hayley Atwell taking the role of Taro in the story of the couple's years in Paris in the mid-1930s leading up to their romance throughout the Spanish Civil War.

Despite both being stars of two Marvel franchises leading up to The Avengers, Hiddleston and Atwell never shared the screen together in the comic book universe. However, casting these two more recognizable stars should get some more eyes on this interesting story. Song for Marion (now known as An Unfinished Song) director Paul Andrew Williams will still be at the helm of the film with a script from Menno Meyjes (The Color Purple, Empire of the Sun, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), so hopefully this will be a powerful drama to behold when all is said and done.
