The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

While we don't really care about the MTV Movie Awards anymore, it's still the prime time for studios to tout some of their releases to the most coveted demographic. However, one film won't really need to try very hard, but Lionsgate will still be releasing the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire during the awards show on Sunday, April 14 at 9/8c on MTV. In addition, to hype the sequel, a sneak preview of footage from the Victor Tour for Katniss and Peeta (Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson) is included. Those first couple teaser posters got us excited, and we'll post the full trailer as soon as it's online.

Here's the sneak preview for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, originally from MTV:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games, a competition that could change Panem forever. Francis Lawrence directs the film written by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) and Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) and it arrives November 22nd, 2013. Excited?
