Wes Bentley

Briefly: Yesterday, Christopher Nolan picked up Topher Grace to join the cast of his developing sci-fi film Interstellar, preparing to shoot later this year. Now THR reports the final lead cast member has been found in The Hunger Games and American Beauty star Wes Bentley. The actor hasn't starred in the most high profile projects over the past decade, with the exception of the aforementioned young adult franchise, and this will certainly be a big boost to his ongoing career. Bentley joins Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck and Michael Caine in a film that is said to "depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding." We can't wait to get a first look.

This is shaping up to nothing if *not* brilliant.

Confusing. So... if it's brilliant... it's nothing?

Yeah, sorry about that. Read it more like "it will be brilliant if nothing else."

Very exciting I did enjoy him in Hunger Games he shows true potential! Nolan hasn't made a single film I didn't enjoy so I'm sure he knows what he's doing with this! Can't wait!!!

I wanted Mathew to be the lead character, i don't hate Wes but i am sure as hell can't see him in the lead role. I could be eventually wrong.

What do you mean? It says Bentley was cast in the final lead role, not THE lead role. McConaughey is the lead actor, and I'm pretty sure that Chastain and Hathaway will have bigger roles than Bentley.

Probably i wasn't paying attention to that "final lead role" in the article. My bad.

I have a feeling that Wes Bentley is in the running to be the next Batman.

So only white people are allowed in space. I didn't get the memo.

Would you rather him cast an actor that he feels fits the role perfectly, or cast an actor that isn't as fit just for the sake of diversity?

Idris Elba has been booked solid as of late.

I feel casting Elba would be insulting, lol. It's like "Yikes, looks like we nee a black guy in this movie. Just get Elba." It seems like there's always one black guy that's cast as the black guy in every movie. Right now it's Elba.

Don't be stupid implying that Nolan is racist. Just because no non white actors have been announced does not mean that there won't be any. There has always been diversity in Nolan's movies. Even among "white" actors,he picks different ones with a wide palette of talent. So what if decided to go for all white cast (like he did in "the Prestige"). It's not a statement on any other race,he is a storyteller and decides best who or what fits his movie. Stop inventing stories and open up your mind
