Star Trek Into Darkness

Though the IMAX 12:01 poster series is ending with the print for Iron Man 3 that was revealed last week, that doesn't mean they're done giving away special posters for fans. In fact, the company just announced their Fanfix program, which is essentially an extension of the aforementioned poster series. Those who attend the early 8pm IMAX showings of Star Trek Into Darkness later this month will be given quite an awesome poster, and it's not like most giveaways at all. This poster was commissioned by Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot in association with Gallery 1988 and artist Mark Englert for this poster. Look!

Star Trek Into Darkness

When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated everything the fleet stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a "one man weapon of mass destruction."

Star Trek Into Darkness is the sequel to the J.J. Abrams-directed reboot of Gene Roddenberry's original science fiction series. The screenplay this time was co-written by Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman & Damon Lindelof. Most of the crew is back, including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin & John Cho. Paramount is bringing Into Darkness to theaters May 17th this summer.

The reason JJ landed Star Trek and Star Wars is because of the amazing job he does with outer space. The battles, the warp speed, minimizing the vastness. This captures that perfectly.

No, it's because he's the "golden boy" of Hollywood at the moment. He's really rather average though.
