Indiegogo-Funded 'Little Favour' Teaser with Benedict Cumberbatch
While rumors still continue to swirl as to whether or not Benedict Cumberbatch will reunite with his Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams for the developing Star Wars: Episode VII, the actor has a new project coming sometime down the road. Little Favour is an indie that was funded by way of IndieGogo. Director Patrick Victor Monroe wanted to raise £25,000 for the film, but he ended up earning three times that amount from donors. But the coolest thing, other than the intriguing story, is that Cumberbatch didn't take a fee for starring in the film, showing his passion for the material. Now there's a teaser trailer that's just been unveiled, and this looks like quite the intense indie thriller. Watch below!
And here's the charming video message Benedict Cumberbatch sent to the supporters of the indie film:
It's been 7 years since he left Her Majesty's service and 10 years since the American counterpart who became his friend, saved his life on a joint mission in Iraq. He's migrated his skill set into a lucrative business while managing to keep his secret battle with PTSD under wraps. One day, while finally deciding to try his hand at a functional relationship, his old friend James cashes in his chip and asks a Little Favour. How could he refuse when he owes the man his life? Benedict Cumberbatch and Nick Moran star in the film from first-time director and writer Patrick Victor Monroe. Stay tuned for release date information. Look good?

awesome. to date, this man can do no wrong. respectful, committed and, above all, conspicuously talented. no idea what the film will be like from that, but i fully expect his performance to be worth the watch. plus, respect to see him maintaining his interest in passion projects, regardless of his rocketing profile.
