Jackie Chan Goes Dark in International Trailer for 'Police Story 2013'
This month saw the release of CZ12, a new action thriller from Jackie Chan, but that film has been released overseas for much longer. But later this year, international audiences will see Police Story 2013, a new film Chan's well known series of action films. However, unlike the previous installments, this sequel has no connection to Chan's earlier films as he plays a mainland Chinese Interpol officer investigating a kidnapping case. Now we have a trailer offering a peek at the wild stunts, fight sequences and more, but this film looks much more gritty and dark than anything we've seen Chan do before. It's a shame he didn't do this before. There's no English subtitles, but the action is the dominant force in the trailer anyway. Watch!
Here's the international trailer for Sheng Ding's Police Story 2013, from Twitch:
Sheng Ding (Little Big Soldier) directs Police Story 2013, the fourth film bearing that title starring Jackie Chan, though there are no ties to the previous installments. Chan plays a mainland Chinese Interpol officer investigating a kidnapping case. There's no release date in the United States set yet, but we hope this one ends up making it overseas at some point after arriving around the world. Stay tuned for anymore updates.
Saw Police Story 4 a while ago, not that good, but this could be a far better entry into the series 🙂

Jackie Chan appears to be bullet-proof in this. Actually quite liked the titles. It's a shame there hasn't been another actor to take over making the type of films that Jackie Chan made. Might watch it.

Wow, this looks pretty dark compared to Jackie's other films. Could be the darkest film he's ever done... ...though the Transformers rip-off title logo at the end had me laughing.

It's the 6th film Ethan in the franchise, not the 4th. Also Michelle Yeoh had a spinoff from the 3rd movie in SuperCop 2.

Jackie did dark and gritty before. Watch Crime Story by Kirk Wong, an amazing film. But it's nice to see him get serious again, which could open a whole new career considering his greatest stunts are obviously behind him and especially after the horrible CZ12.
