Hot on the heels of news that Machete Kills would arrive this September, the cast for Robert Rodriguez's other fall sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has just landed a few more new members. The Playlist has word that Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven and Ray Liotta have all taken roles, but details on their characters are being kept under wraps. They join other new cast members like Josh Brolin taking over for Clive Owen as Dwight, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny, Dennis Haysbert replacing the late Michael Clarke Duncane as Manute and Jamie Chung replacing Devon Aioki as Miho. Yeah, that's quite the impressive cast.
Meanwhile, returning cast members include Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jessica Alba as Nancy, Rosario Dawson as Gail and Jaime King as Goldie/Wendy. Still no word on whether Bruce Willis will come back, but we're doubting it at this point. Production is currently underway and follows Dwight (Brolin) as he's hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film 'Frank Miller's Sin City') and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face. Stay tuned for more.

May Temple be playing "Ava Lord"?

I would venture to say that she would be a little young for that role. Ava Lord is a past love of Dwight's from 4 years or so PRIOR to this particular story. Dwight is no spring chicken, and I think Temple is in like her mid-20s at best.

I can see Willis just making a small cameo in a bar or something seeing as this is before he killed himself, yet nothing really anything to do with his storyline.

Also, I'm thinking that Brolin is only playing Dwight 'pre-op' when he has a different face, and that 'post-op' Dwight, the one Owen played in the first film, will once again be played by Owen.

I'm starting to get the impression they're just driving around Hollywood asking anyone famous if they want a part in Sin City 2. And that doesn't bother me one bit.
