Keep Informed: I.F. Sentinel 'Ender's Game' Viral News Site Launches

I.F. Sentinel

With the first trailer one day away from arriving online, Summit has launched their new viral news website for Ender's Game, called the I.F. Sentinel. The Sentinel is a news blog built on Tumblr that is posting updates from the International Fleet, which is the military organization that Ender trains under in the movie. At the moment it only contains a few postings with info about the world and happenings around, including "looking back at the great invasion", the first bugger war, and a breakdown of "thirds" and what that means (if you haven't read the book) and more. It's a cool viral site and one worth pointing out to fans.

We still have a full six months until Ender's Game arrives in theaters, so I'm expecting the I.F. Sentinel to fill up with a lot of news and information leading up to the release later this year. It's a very straightforward design that is being billed as the "official website" even though all content so far in-story. Check it out here:

In the International Fleet's Mission Statement: "We know our enemy is out there, amongst the stars. But we also know the human spirit is strong, and that if we are united, we cannot fail. All citizens are encouraged to come together and participate in all global, national, and local peace discussions in the news forums."

70 years after a horrific alien war, an unusually gifted child is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for a future invasion. Ender's Game, based on Orson Scott Card's beloved 1985 novel of the same name, is written & directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, Rendition, X-Men Origins) produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci of K/O Paper Products. Asa Butterfield stars as Ender Wiggin, with Harrison Ford as Colonel Graff, plus Nonso Anozie, Moises Arias, Ben Kingsley, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis. Summit/Lionsgate will be releasing Ender's Game in theaters November 1st later this year.
