Legendary to Help Universal on 'Dracula: Year Zero' & 'Jurassic Park 4'?

Originally, Universal was slated to bring Dracula: Year Zero to theaters in August of 2014. The story follows real-life historical figure Prince Vlad of Transylvania, known as the inspiration for Dracula, as his wife and child find themselves in danger from a despicable sultan. He risks his very soul to save them, and that's the origin story of the first vampire. Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6) is set to lead the film with Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger) and Sarah Gadon (Cosmopolis) also starring, but now the film, which is already in production, has been pushed back to a fall release on October 3rd, 2014.
Variety also has word that Legendary Pictures might kick off their new partnership with Universal by co-financing Dracula: Year Zero with the studio. Nothing is official yet, but the two companies are in talks. That's not the only forthcoming project that Legendary might work with Universal on though. They're also considering co-financing Jurassic Park 4, which would help Universal, since Steven Spielberg's deal for some of the grosses is fairly significant, thus reducing how much they will profit from the film, even if it's another hit. It's all business stuff and doesn't really effect the creative direction of either film, but it's good to know that Legendary is getting cozy with Universal so quickly.

They should just make Vlad The Impaler biopic. His life is scarier than most vampire films.

Nice, I think the involvement of Legendary with these projects could be beneficial.
