Liam Hemsworth

Later this year, The Hunger Games franchise star Liam Hemsworth shares the screen with acting giants Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman in Paranoia, hitting theaters on August 16th. And Hemsworth is continuing his rise to A-list status as THR reports he will be leading a film called Aurora Rising for Relativity Media. In a story that might have flares of Point Break, the film follows a Southern California surfer who becomes a fighter pilot. But after a messy combat mission, he's recruited to be part of an elite team testing a new kind of aircraft at the dawn of an international conflict. So Top Gun meets Red Dawn?

It's unclear where this international threat comes from, but Hemsworth seems to be following in the footsteps of his brother, Thor star Chris Hemsworth, who tackled the remake of Red Dawn a few years ago (it sat on the shelf until it was released last year). The film is written by A Man Apart writer Christian Gudegast, but it's not clear who is directing just yet. It remains to be seen if Liam Hemsworth will have the staying power of his comic book movie leading brother, but after his forthcoming turns in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and the two-part finale Mockingjay, he's sure to get plenty more big screen action.

After rewatching the soft opening of Star Trek recently I have to completely disagree with you. No other film has made me feel that emotional in such a short amount of time except for Up and Hemsworth was the reason it resonated so well. He's a great actor, but I've yet to be impressed with his brother.
