At the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, actor Mark Webber delivered his sophomore directing effort The End of Love, a touching and genuine story examining the relationship a struggling actor and father has with his son (played by Webber's real-life toddler son) in the wake of losing the child's mother. Now Webber is preparing to get behind the camera again with The Ever After, described as a brutal love story that explores the depths of marriage And Variety reports Aussie actress Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) and Melissa Leo (Oblivion, The Fighter) have landed roles in the film. But they're not the only ones. Read on!
In addition, Rosario Dawson, Phoebe Tonkin, Jaime King and rapper-turned-actor Kid Cudi are also in talks for roles. Specifics on the story have not been revealed, but Variety says Leo's character is that of some sort of mystical individual (maybe a fortune teller?) who has some sort of profound impact on the relationship between Webber and Palmer, playing the lead roles. The two stars are also producing through their Yumehome and Poor Rich Kids and the film has been in production since February in Palmer's homeland of Australia. Shooting still needs to be done in New York and Los Angeles through July and August, but we're hoping Webber can finish this film in time for Sundance 2014. Sound good?
