After delivering scripts for high profile movies like Tropic Thunder and Men in Black 3, writer Etan Cohen is ready to make his directorial debut. Originally, Cohen was supposed to be at the helm of Boy Scouts vs. Zombies, a project from College Road Trip writers Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki that made the Black List in 2010. But now THR reports Cohen will be at the helm of Get Hard, a comedy that follows Will Ferrell (also producing with Adam McKay through their Gary Sanchez banner) as a rich, soft-handed investment bank manager who is sentenced to a maximum security prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
So with 30 days until he has to report to prison, he hires a streewise guy (Kevin Hart), who normally washes his car, to prepare him for the trials and tribulations of life in the big house. Personally, I wish it was someone like Donald Glover taking the role instead of Hart, but that's just a personal preference. Ian Roberts and Jay Martel, the executive producers and showrunners on Comedy Central's spectacular sketch comedy show "Key & Peele," are writing the script. Cohen is a great comedy writer, so hopefully his talents translate well to the director's chair.

I love Will Ferrell and I love Kevin Hart but I can't imagine them having a good dynamic.
