Moretz, Hathaway & Rockwell in Talks for Lynn Shelton's 'Laggies'

Lynn Shelton didn't get much love at Sundance earlier this year with her newest film Touchy Feely, even though it was picked up by Magnolia, but the director is already on to her next film, and she's got one hell of a cast on the way. The film is called Laggies, and Deadline reports Anne Hathaway, Chloe Moretz and Sam Rockwell are all in "deep negotiations" to star in the film which tells the story of an irresponsible, perpetually adolescent young girl (Hathaway) who is turned off by her boyfriend's marriage proposal, so she pretends to go on a retreat for work, but hides with her new 16-year old friend Annika (Moretz). Read on!
Rockwell would play an older character named Craig, though we're not sure how he's involved in the story. In addition, Scott Pilgrim vs the World and Save the Date star Mark Webber is in talks to play the proposing boyfriend. Shelton's career behind the camera has blossomed from being a gifted mumblecore filmmaker to a more polished indie director in a short amount of time, and it's clear that her talents are attracting all the right talent in front of the camera as well. Your Sister's Sister is my favorite recent work of hers, and this sounds like it could be more along those lines in terms of style and content.
