Must Watch: Final 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Trailer is Quite Dramatic

"Let's go get this son of a bitch." Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) is out for blood. Despite a warning from Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood), the leader of the U.S.S. Enterprise puts his crew in danger as he heads after terrorist and villain John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch) on a mission of pure revenge. This has to be the best trailer yet with powerful dramatic beats, stunning action, some amazing new footage and plenty of memorable lines from the heroes and villain. Those who get a bit uneasy when they see the Enterprise taking damage may want to be careful, because it's going to be a rough ride. Watch the trailer!
Here's the final trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness, originally from Apple:
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated everything the fleet stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a "one man weapon of mass destruction."
Star Trek Into Darkness is the sequel to the J.J. Abrams-directed reboot of Gene Roddenberry's original science fiction series. The screenplay this time was co-written by Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman & Damon Lindelof. Most of the crew is back, including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin & John Cho. Paramount is bringing Into Darkness to theaters May 17th this summer.

TrekMovie points out: "While the sequence gives the impression that the ship falling from space is also the ship crashing, [it] is now clearer than ever that the ship falling into San Francisco Bay is not the USS Enterprise. Any subscriber to Nacelles Monthly would be able to tell you there are a number of key differences, notably the nacelles are a different shape than those of the USS Enterprise. And even more apparent is how the nacelle struts are very widely spaced, as opposed to the Enterprise which has the struts much closer together. And the above ship’s saucer has more of a tapered knife-edge as opposed to the Enterprise’s more flat blunt edge."

good to hear the positivity above, and i almost gave in and clicked, but i am still just about holding out. only done the teaser and have tried to avoid clicking my way into spoilers since. even though the 'enterprise crashing' bit has disappointingly been in posters, i'm still trying to keep it minty fresh for the flicks!

Yeah, the posters got me too. Reminded me of Prometheus. But I'm still not watching this. Not now!

If all these big movies cash in as expected, this is going to be the biggest box office ever. Considering the potential of some of the films in development, 2013 could be the first year in a wave of years of unbelievable box office.

Trailer shows too much IMO. I thought JJ was so into keeping things a secret?Should be good fun but really I dont expect something mind blowing. I will keep that for Elysium. Anyone gonna see Oblivion? Seems like the buzz died within last week. I dunno..

Three of my least favorite writers at the moment on this movie. Looks like just a load of flashy visual effects and a poor script again. You guys seem easily satisfied.
