The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Lionsgate brought the blockbuster franchise sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire to Comic-Con today complete with cast members Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, not to mention new cast members like Jeffrey Wright and Jena Malone (seen for the first time in these new Quarter Quell posters). Now a new trailer for the film is online, and it finally delivers quite the flashy lead-up to the 75th Annual Hunger Games, which puts previous victors back in the arena. It's clear there's a bigger budget this time around with more of the Capitol on display, some impressive effects shots, a very threatening Donald Sutherland, and just a tease of the aquatic action that kicks off the new games themselves. Watch below!

Here's the second trailer for Francis Lawrence's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, from Yahoo:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games, a competition that could change Panem forever. Francis Lawrence directs the film written by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) and Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) and it arrives November 22nd, 2013. Excited?

I'm a little underwhelmed...not to be overly negative. I thought the first was good, not great, and I've never had much of a desire to watch it again. But I'm sure people who dug that one will like this one just as much.

Looks good although I was not crazy about the second book.. The third book sucked and I had to force myself to finish it

I love that they show nothing of the actual Games, thats the best part of the book. The 75th Quell was AMAZBALLS

Well at least they showed a small amount of the actual game, that's the part I care about the most.

The plot is mostly the same, but the stakes are different. This should be a much different movie than the previous one. I bet the trailer is not revealing some crucial part of the story. This should be interesting.
