"Was all this legal? Absolutely not." Time to meet Jay Gatsby of the 1980's. Paramount has debuted the first trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street, the latest movie directed by Martin Scorsese, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as a young millionaire living the party life. This almost-Goodfellas-sequel also stars Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Jon Bernthal, Margot Robbie and Kyle Chandler, plus plenty of others yet to be seen (in this trailer), like Rob Reiner, Jon Favreau, Jean Dujardin, and Spike Jonze. This looks a bit more like Spring Breakers in Manhattan than Wall Street, but I trust in Scorsese and his stellar cast. Enjoy!
Here's the first trailer for Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, direct from Paramount's YouTube:
A young New York stockbroker named Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking world and mob infiltration.
The Wolf of Wall Street is directed by legendary Oscar winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese, of everything from Taxi Driver to Raging Bull to Cape Fear to Goodfellas to Casino to Aviator to Departed to Shutter Island and Hugo recently. The screenplay is by Terence Winter (Get Rich or Die Tryin', Brooklyn Rules, "The Sopranos", "Boardwalk Empire"), based on Jordan Belfort's book. Paramount is bringing Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street to theaters everywhere starting November 15th later this fall. How does that look?

Damn good trailer but Star Trek, pacific rim, man of steel and gravity have had great trailers.

This is just going to be fun. All those actors are just flexing, not straining, just flexing. I get hints of AMERICAN PSYCHO, WALL STREET, and AMERICAN GANGSTER.

I agree, but i do like to see Jonah Hill doing more roll outside of comedy stuff. Not that his comedy stuff isnt great, i love This Is The End and him in it, but Moneyball then this... goood on ya Jonah

looks like a modern day Great Gatsby

people need to stop comparing this to Great Gatsby just because it's Leo playing a rich guy and living in extravagance. There's no impossible love interest, or a nick like character.

Looks like something I would enjoy but it hasn't nailed the look of 80's wall street the way way Oliver Stone did.

It's set in the 90's not the 80's.

You mean the movie he made IN the 80's?

Heck yeah! Scorsese my mannnn! SO ready for this!

I wouldn't have guessed this was set in the '80's. Looks like fun, but not much more if you catch my drift?

Didn't Leo say he was taking time off from doing movies and was gonna be taking a couple years off??

You do realize this was filmed probably close to a year ago.

I realize that...It just seems like hes coming out with more and more stuff.

...from before he decided to take time off. Remember how The Dark Knight came out after Heath Ledger died? Post-production, distribution and marketing take time.

yeah the trailer doesn't do it for me either, but i'm sure the film its self and Scorsese will surprise me.

This might be like pain and gain in that in the end, no matter how much you like the actors, you don't care for the characters.

the last scene, lol

I love wall street money movies. Oliver Stone's Wall Street sequel was too preachy, and half of the movie was an infomercial promoting some form of clean energy. I want greasy broker shennanigans with extravagant uses for an over abundance of money... so I can live out my fantasies vicariously through fictional movie characters 😉

As an incoming freshman in College with the goal to be a Wall Street Guy, I will for sure see this. Looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully the movie's plot is as good as the footage in this trailer.

Looks fun, doesnt seem like its taking itself TOO seriously. Also, close your eyes at the beginning narrative, was he trying to sound exactly like Ray Liotta? lol

Hmm, didn't like the trailer too much. I hope Scorsese (with his baby-faced muse) returns to form with this though. Otherwise he can go home and get his fucking shine box.

What a horrible trailer, i hope it has more substance than a rap music video. Stop with kanye and jayz in every trailer!

Surprised more haven't liked this trailer. Must just be the anti-Kanye bias. I think this is an excellent trailer. One of the best I've seen this year Very well paced and edited. My only complaint would be the yellow and black lettering. I have a hard time seeing that and separating it from trailers for children's movies. It would have seemed less disjointed and flashier to match the premise of the film had they gone with a silver/blue theme. Overall the movie looks awesome.

Of the whole trailer that's the part that stands out most to me

Matthew seems a little annoying to me in the trailer. Like he is trying too hard to be the nutty guy.

MEANWHILE, Globalist 'SO SHELL--ist' MAFIA usurpation is ramping worldwide. DeNiro's looking more and more like Josef STALIN. WHY isn's Scorsese being a REAL in touch ---------------------------------------------------and daring artist? -----WHY isn't he delivering the definitive STALIN???? NOTHING could be more relevant 2014.
