Must Watch: New Trailer for 'Out of the Furnace' Starring Christian Bale
In what will surely be an Oscar contender, at least on the performance side of things, the second trailer for Scott Cooper's gritty drama Out of the Furnace has arrived. Christian Bale stars in the film as Russell, working a dead-end blue collar job at the local steel mill by day, and caring for his terminally ill father by night. When Russell's brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) returns home from serving time in Iraq, he gets lured into one of the most ruthless crime rings in the Northeast and disappears. Since the cops can't get the job done, Russell takes matters into his own hands, putting his life on the line to seek justice. Watch below!
Here's the second official trailer for Scott Cooper's Out of the Furnace, originally from Apple:
Out of the Furnace is directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart), who wrote the film with Brad Inglesby. Russell (Chistian Bale) and his younger brother Rodney (Casey Affleck) live in the economically-depressed Rust Belt, and have always dreamed of escaping and finding better lives. But when a cruel twist of fate lands Russell in prison, his brother is lured into one of the most violent and ruthless crime rings in the Northeast - a mistake that will almost cost him everything. Once released, Russell must choose between his own freedom, or seeking justice for his brother. Actors Woody Harrelson, Zoe Saldana, Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe and Sam Shepard also star in the film which Relativity Media releases December 6th.

Outstanding trailer, beautifully done. Looks like you'll have to be medicated to handle this much tension.
