"Get big, or get out." Sony Pictures Classics has finally debuted a trailer for one of my favorite festival films of last year, At Any Price, directed by Ramin Bahrani (of Man Push Cart, Chop Shop, Goodbye Solo). I first saw it at the Telluride Film Festival and wrote a glowing review calling it "extraordinary, affecting". Dennis Quaid stars as an American farmer struggling to survive in contemporary times. Zac Efron plays one of his sons, and it also features Heather Graham and Clancy Brown. This is a solid trailer for a great indie film, and a must watch because it's about so much more than just farming and race car driving.
Watch the official trailer for Ramin Bahrani's At Any Price, originally from Yahoo:
Set in the competitive world of modern agriculture, the story centers on ambitious Henry Whipple (Quaid), who wants his rebellious son Dean (Efron) to help expand his family's farming empire. However, Dean has his sights set on becoming a professional race car driver. When a high-stakes investigation into their business unfolds, father and son are pushed into an unexpected situation that threatens the family’s entire livelihood. At Any Price is directed by American filmmaker Ramin Bahrani, of indie gems like Man Push Cart, Chop Shop, Goodbye Solo and Plastic Bag. The script was co-written by Bahrani and young newcomer Hallie Elizabeth Newton. SPC is releasing At Any Price in theaters starting on April 26th. Read my review.

Looks so much fun! Great to see so much misery. Sure it'll all be glossed over and hugged out at the end.

"Am I a happy man? How could I not be?" And then he looks like he feels completely shitty. Good acting though...

I hate Quaid... But for once he his acting doesn't seem out of place here and I still have high hopes for Efron's future career and I'll support anything he's in. This looks really good!
