Must Watch: Riveting New Full Trailer for Ridley Scott's 'The Counselor'
by Ethan Anderton
August 7, 2013
"You may think there are things that these people are simply incapable of. There are not." Wild-haired Javier Bardem, intimidating Brad Pitt, saucy Cameron Diaz and a stressed out Michael Fassbender is all one needs to see to be on board with The Counselor. Add into the mix that the film is from Ridley Scott, and it sounds like the director might be back on his game. The full new trailer paints a better picture of the story without giving too much away, but the montage mode at the end kind of takes away from the quiet, haunting drama in the beginning. Still, the movie looks like it will be quite a riveting thriller this fall.
Here's the new full-length trailer for Ridley Scott's The Counselor, direct from YouTube:
This intense drug thriller tells the story of an attorney (Fassbender), a good man in need of money who decides to dabble in the cocaine trade. The story heats up when he teams up with a rich acquaintance (Bardem) for the new business that also brings in a shady type (Pitt). Of course, things don't go as planned. The Counselor is directed by the legendary English filmmaker Ridley Scott, of Prometheus, Robin Hood, Body of Lies, American Gangster, A Good Year and Kingdom of Heaven most recently. The screenplay was written by author Cormac McCarthy, the writer behind No Country for Old Men and The Road. Fox will be releasing The Counselor in theaters everywhere starting October 25th later this year. Getting excited?

Can't wait to see it. I love Fassbender. Add Cruz, Bardem, Diaz, and Pitt (and Rosie Perez and John Leguizamo!) and I'm ready for it.

I think she is old though, she's like 40, that's like 90000 years old in Hollywood, she should get to the same plastic surgeon as Kenny Rogers so her face looks like a broken baby with a beard.

Diaz will be 41 this month and I would definitively, definitively, serve her breakfast!

I think some people just want women to look like teenagers forever, life just isn't like that. Age has it's own beauty.

I've been waiting for this since I heard Cormack McCarthy's next work after The Road was going to be a screenplay. You should have lead with 'Written by Cormack McCarthy'. Sold.
