Her Trailer #2

"Falling in love is kind of like a form of socially acceptable insanity." Though Scarlett Johansson may be ineligible for the Golden Globes (as if that popularity and bribery contest really matters), that won't stop audiences from soaking up her incredible vocal performance in Spike Jonze's charming new love story Her. For those who don't know, the story follows Joaquin Phoenix as a man struggling after a bad break-up, until he connects with Samantha, the new operating system of his mobile device. This new trailer gives us a second good look at the film with Arcade Fire's mesmerizing tune "Supersymmetry." Watch now!

Here's the second trailer for Spike Jonze's Her, originally from Apple:

Set in LA, slightly in the future, "her" follows Theodore Twombly, a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced operating system, which promises to be an intuitive entity in its own right, individual to each user. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet "Samantha," a bright, female voice, who is insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny. As her needs and desires grow, in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual love for each other. Written & directed by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Where the Wild Things Are). Warner Bros will release Her starting on December 18th.

I love Spike Jonze only (perhaps irrational) pet peeve is the use of folksy indie rock music....

Looks awesome, but whoever decided to cast Scarlett J. in a role that is 100% voiceover and 0% screentime is the biggest tease on the planet.

Such a beautiful movie. I hope people go out and try to duplicate the things that are featured in this film.
