"Trust me bub, you don't want what I've got." Uh oh. This looks badass! Fox has debuted another brand new international trailer for James Mangold's The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman once again as Wolvie defending his honor in Japan. We've seen plenty of trailers and footage, including the most recent theatrical trailer which contains a lot of the same footage. But this new trailer presents the story much more straightforward and gives us a better idea of the kind of action and stakes that are being set. I love each little hint more we're getting in this, with the train fight and the Silver Samurai, this is going to kick ass. Bring it!
Here's the new international trailer for James Mangold's The Wolverine, found on YouTube:
Based on the celebrated comic book arc by Chris Claremont & Frank Miller, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Knight and Day) is directing The Wolverine from a script by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback who are adapting the classic 1982 story arc in the Wolverine comics, which takes our favorite Marvel mutant all the way to Japan. 20th Century Fox is releasing James Mangold's The Wolverine in theaters everywhere on July 26th this summer. We'll be there opening night!

I thought Adamantium was supposed to be super rare. Why are all their Katanas and chains able to withstand Wolverine's claws? I dig Logan-san.

Short answer? Comic book physics. Adamantium is rare, and very hard to manipulate into anything, but you'd still have to generate enough force to break something as hard as those swords are. I know we see him cut through metal doors and whatnot in the comics and cartoons.. comic book physics. He can cut what he wants to when the writers decide he can...

Looks like something that Fox can make.

This looks as bad as Wolverine Origins. Is it the same director, Gavin Hood? Sure looks like it. I know he's out ruining Ender's Game, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had his hand in this.

This was a pretty big one for me this year, but I recently there's been some amazing trailers and I'd kindo forgot about this.

Shitty character. Works only in comics.

Looks... eh, okay. Just to keep things in perspective - the director is the same guy who directed KNIGHT & DAY, so...

You mean this movie is not easily compared to Casablanca?

Maybe the movie will be better than the trailers this time.

I don't expect anything from this film. No costume. No forking over my hard earned wages to see this.

Wasn't "The Cure" the plot of the X3?
