New Teaser Shows 'Knights of Badassdom' Finally Coming in January

We've been following Joe Lynch's action fantasy comedy Knights of Badassdom for a couple years now, and audiences have been awaiting the film's release since it was teased at Comic-Con in 2011. Since then, there have been some problems behind the scenes regarding the final cut and completion of the film, but Entertainment One still picked up the film for distribution over the summer. We're not sure if the conflict between Lynch and the producers was worked out, but a new teaser for the film featuring Ryan Kwanten, Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage, Summer Glau, Steve Zahn, Community's Danny Pudi and Margarita Levieva will hit theaters and arrives in limited theaters in January. It's about time! Watch it!
Here's the teaser announcing the release of Joe Lynch's Knights of Badassdom, direct from eOne:
Knights of Badassdom directed by up-and-coming American indie filmmaker Joe Lynch (@TheJoeLynch on Twitter), who previously has only directed Wrong Turn 2: Dead End. The screenplay was written by first-time screenwriters Matt Wall & Kevin Dreyfuss and follows a group of LARPers (Live Action Role Players) who inadvertently summon a deadly succubus during the middle of a big fantasy battle and must fight her in the real world. Ryan Kwanten, Peter Dinklage, Summer Glau, Steve Zahn, Danny Pudi and Margarita Levieva star in the film which eOne will release in theaters via TUGG on January 21st, followed by a VOD release on February 11th. You can read our coverage of the Comic-Con panel here. Excited?

Looks really cheap.

Totally. I truly fear I could make a 'teaser' like this. And I am not very good at teasing...

First trailers looked fun, but am i wrong, did this just go "straight to video"? That's not good.

Not quite - it's getting limited release in Jan, then on demand/video in Feb. Sadly, I'll probably have to wait until February.

I"ll settle for this 85 minutes version, it"s better than a kick in the teeth, plus it will be great to see Summer Glau wielding that sword as Gwenn. (plus her outfit is really cool).

This poorly edited announcement video and the cheesy, cartoonesque effects don't do justice to the trailer we know. Please don't show this to anyone who isn't already familiar with the movie, it way undersells it.

Well, you know how good it's going to be if it comes out in January..
