New Trailer for 'Romeo & Juliet' with Hailee Steinfeld & Douglas Booth

Perhaps every generation needs their own adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, but if the new trailer for this big screen version of the film from "Downton Abbey" writer Julian Fellowes and Italian director Carlo Carlei is any indicator, this generation is getting the shaft. While the film features bright talents like Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth in the lead roles of the star-crossed lovers, the story is explained as if no one has every heard of it (which might be the case for some young teens, and why the trailer premiered on MTV). This looks painfully boring and dry, and that's just disappointing. Watch?
Here's the newest trailer for Carlo Carlei's take on Romeo & Juliet, originally from MTV:
Italian filmmaker Carlo Carlei directs this adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic Romeo & Juliet, adapted by "Downton Abbey" writer Julian Fellowes. Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) and Douglas Booth ("The Pillars of the Earth") play the star-crossed lovers whose love blossoms despite coming from two rival families: The Montagues and The Capulets. Paul Giamatti, Ed Westwick, Stellan Skarsgard, Natasha McElhone, Kodi Smit-McPhee and more also star in the classic adaptation, which is currently slated to hit theaters in the United Kingdom on July 26th, and arrives in the United States this fall on October 11th.

I'll give you odds the end of the trailer isn't the end of the movie.

Also, Juliet is supposed to be 10, I always liked it that she was 10 >:(

Actually, in Shakespeare's primary sources, Juliet is older than in the play. Shakespeare's Juliet is thirteen years old.

Sorry, but this doesn't even come close to Baz Luhrmann's R+J. This one is a joke.

Cast looks great but the choice of music makes it bleh.

I want this to be good, because I love the casting, particularly finally seeing Hailee Steinfeld again, but Douglas Booth just looks...flat.
