Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass to Lead Medical Thriller 'Reawakening'
Lately producer Jason Blum and his Blumhouse productions have been on a string of horror hits with the Paranormal Activity franchise, and also new franchises launching from Insidious and Sinister. Now Lionsgate is behind Blum's newest producing effort, a medical thriller called Reawakening with Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass starring in the film for Jiro Dreams of Sushi director David Gelb. The script comes from Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater (who worked on Fox's reboot of Fantastic Four) and follows a team of research students that discovers the secret to bringing subjects back from the dead. More below!
But, of course, their work results in a series of sinister consequences and terror. This is another interesting project for the increasingly versatile Mark Duplass. The actor is also a powerhouse in the indie world as a writer and director, and most of his acting roles have been in similar low key releases. But more recently, turns in films like Zero Dark Thirty and his turn on "The League" and "The Mindy Project" have put him more in the spotlight. Even more interesting is Variety reports Mosaic Media Group, who usually works on comedies for Adam McKay and Judd Apatow, is producing the project. This is certainly an interesting assembly of talent in front of and behind the camera, and we'll keep our eyes on this interesting project.
Why is Olivia Wilde not doing more big budget films? Did COWBOYS AND ALIENS scare her away?

Sounds interesting, Mark was great in Safety not guaranteed, and Olivia's pretty freakin hot.
