Paramount is Giving 'World War Z' a Late One-Week Only IMAX Run

The zombie apocalypse drama World War Z from director Marc Forster has been in theaters for over a month now, but don't think that the film is done raking in box office bucks just yet. Paramount has already pulled in over $470 million worldwide for the film that was once predicted to bomb due to some serious production woes, and now they might add another decent chunk to that total. Paramount and IMAX have just announced the Brad Pitt led action thriller will get a one-week only IMAX 3D run starting on Friday, taking advantage of the giant screen before Neill Blomkamp's Elysium takes over on August 9th next week.
That's good news for audiences still looking to experience the film with the best sound and picture quality, but bad news for audiences who have not yet had a chance to check out Pacific Rim on the big big screen in 3D. Still, seeing World War Z on an IMAX screen should be pretty intense with all the fast-paced zombie action that unfolds across the world. The film is a surprisingly good adaptation that works well as a standalone piece, though it might just lead to something bigger since Paramount is back to developing a sequel following the film's success. Will you see World War Z on the IMAX?

Lol really Again? I enjoyed it but now they just want to push for more money. The Blu-ray will come out in October for crying out loud.
