Possible 'Transformers 4' Titles Include 'Age of Extinction' and More

We've seen just one single official first look photo from the set of Transformers 4 featuring director Michael Bay with stars Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor. But just last week, we also caught a glimpse of some interesting hints at what's to come in the sequel. Propaganda posters on the set in Chicago where production is currently filming show us that there are plenty of people who now greatly fear the Autobots after the attack on the Windy City. In addition, a production crew member's hat seemed to hint at Dinobots being involved, and now a potential title for the sequel coming next summer indicates the same. Read on!
Fusible (via ComingSoon) noticed that the same brand protection agency that registers the website domain that revealed the title Dark of the Moon for the third sequel has some new Transformers titles that have been registered. The titles include Transformers: Last Stand, Transformers: Apocalypse and Transformers: Future Cast. They all sounds relatively lame, with the first taking a cue from the third X-Men film and the last one sounding like weather program hosted by the Transformers. The middle one sounds okay, maybe just a little too much. However, another title sounds more promising.
The Transformers fansite TFW2005 reveals that Hasbro has applied for several trademarks for Transformers: Age of Extinction, and a website domain name with that title has also been registered. If the film really does feature Dinobots, including the word "Extinction" in the title would be a nice tease for fans. And in case you have any doubt that they will show up, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed to Beijing News (also via ComingSoon) they will appear, "I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. Surely we'll find out the official title sometime before the first trailer is release, which should be later this year.

Need a title for a sequel? Easy. Just steal from others. The Avengers: Age of Ultron + Resident Evil: Extinction = Transformers: Age of Extinction! Ta-da

if they mess up GRIMLOCK i will lose faith in bay and his incarnations of the robots.....and after watching pain and gain over here in the uk it seems bay still has his weird slighlty off beat non funny jokes littered throughout his films a lot which are cringe worthy... i don't know how he gets away with em! ha

Indeed. I will be so pissed if the dino bots are introduced and they are not representing the comics. Especially if they do not exactly reflect their dinosaur. The Transformers trilogy franchise has strayed enough already from the comics/cartoons, lets not have anymore bay! I also agree with you on the humor. For some reason the humor in his movies always seems untimely and awkwardly quirky and sometimes ruins the seriousness of the films/moments.

I got one Transformers Rise of the mbay franchise. The autobots and decepticons may have to join forces, to stop mbay from raping thier childhoods!

I offer this: Transformers 4 : THE TRANSFORMERS I see no difference in the variant titles. In the first , Revenge of Fallen & also Dark of the Moon titles was important for me but after awhile ... I just see the movies. NO dudes , For me AVENGERS or Pacific Rim or BATMAN sequel's NEW Titles are very effective but Transformers is just another Transformers (FOR ME)

Noooooo. I can't wait for this next movie but WHY THE DINOBOTS? Michael Bay is going to crush these already stupid characters giving them a bad name and fans are just going to continue the vicious "kill michael bay" cycle no matter how cool or breath taking the dinobots appear on screen. Bring in the Quintessons or...no not Galvatron....*sigh* oh no >:(
