With The Counselor coming up next, sequels to Prometheus and Blade Runner in the works, and The Forever War further down the line in his busy schedule, it looks like iconic filmmaker Ridley Scott will be staying busy as a director for quite some time. But he's also a prolific producer at Scott Free Productions, and THR reports that Scott has just signed on to produce a film adaptation of Matt Kindt's Dark Horse comic Mind MGMT for 20th Century Fox. Dark Horse Entertainment’s Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg are also producing the espionage mystery thriller, which sounds perfect for Scott. More below!

The story follows Henry Lime, the government's best agent in a unit comprised of spies with psychic abilities. When he loses control of his abilities and inadvertently causes an entire town to kill each other, he goes on the run. Separately, a true crime author is part of a flight in which everyone developed amnesia, and she teams with Lime years later to discover her secret connection to the mysterious agency. Sounds a little convoluted when it's written out in logline form, but it's the kind of story that should easily translate to the big screen. No writer or director is attached yet, but THR insists that it's not being developed as a directing vehicle for Scott, so we'll see if maybe one of his proteges ends up in the director's chair. Sound good?
