Rule the Dark: One More Trailer for Vin Diesel's 'Riddick' Sequel Hits

"Ya - let's cut him loose." How much more Riddick can you handle? Out of nowhere, Universal has debuted one more trailer for David Twohy's Riddick sequel starring Vin Diesel as the Furyan badass with night-vision eyes. This now brings the grand total to five trailers for Riddick, between teasers and full trailers and the red band one shown at Comic-Con and everything else (not even counting TV spots). I honestly cannot wait to see this movie, I think it looks totally badass and I'm excited for it (I love Pitch Black), but I've seen enough. I just want to watch the whole movie. Also stars Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista & Jordi Mollà.

Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick director David Twohy returns to write and direct Riddick. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction. Universal is releasing Riddick everywhere on September 6th this fall.

You must think everything is a remake of everything. Pitch Black involved a planet that had a lasting darkness from an eclipse, and the survivors using an escaped prisoner who could see in the dark to survive against creatures that live and hunt in the darkness. This is about Riddick being betrayed and left for dead, forced to survive alone while a group of mercenaries tries to hunt him down. Yes, both involve Riddick on an alien planet with creatures on it....but the dynamics are quite a bit different. Beyond that, because the last film was nearly a decade ago and was not financially successful, this movie was made for next to nothing, Twohy and Diesel had to get it independently financed and make the film before Universal came in for distribution. So they had to work with what they had and deliver what they could.

I cant wait for this movie! I didnt really like the 2nd one cuz the underverse thing, and Jack was played by someone who didnt remind me of the girl who played her in pitch black, so i couldnt relate to that Jack/Kyra and thus failed. Anyway this movie looks to redeem the 2nd one.

i love pitch black and chronicles still this may have something NOT FECIN MUCH but please riddick is the last furyan. This is a story over hall a total remake of whole series and I hope not a total screw up all it really has going for it is vin diesel
