Rumor: Jason Schwartzman Going Blockbuster for 'Jurassic World'

For the most part, Jason Schwartzman has been relegated to quirky Wes Anderson films like Rushmore, Moonrise Kingdom and The Darjeeling Limited. But the actor has also appeared in bigger films like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Funny People, not to mention turns on TV in "Parks & Recreation" and "Bored to Death." Now there's a rumor going around that Schwartzman is in talks for a role in Universal's Jurassic World. He would join young stars Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins in pivotal roles in the sequel, and maybe even Josh Brolin, the last person being eyed for a role. We also have confirmation of another cast member.
Hypable has the rumor pegging Schwartzman for an unknown role, and when they asked the actor's reps for confirmation, they simply said they couldn't comment on the news, which is better than an outright denial. Meanwhile, Bryce Dallas Howard, the first cast member reported to be in talks for a major role, recently spoke with USA Today saying, "They’re relaunching the Jurassic Park franchise, so I’ll be chasing dinosaurs. That’s going to happen next year.” Sounds like she's definitely on board. We'll see if this Schwartzman rumor pans out though. Stay tuned for any updates.
