"If I die for love…pretty cool way to go." Shia LaBeouf has laid pretty low key lately, but now he's back with the release of the Sundance selected indie Charlie Countryman. The first posters just surfaced last month, and the trailer definitely matches their style in the story of a young guy (LaBeouf) who finds himself in love with a European woman (Evan Rachel Wood) who has a dangerous suitor (Mads Mikkelsen) from her past not willing to let her go. It's a love story with style, action and a great soundtrack, but it still has some kinks since it comes from music video director Fredrik Bond making his feature film debut. But our own Alex Billlington loved the film, and it's certainly worth checking out. Watch!
Here's the first trailer for Fredrik Bond's Charlie Countryman, originally from Yahoo:
When his late mother appears in a vision and tells him to go to Bucharest, Charlie (Shia LaBeouf) immediately boards a plane. But when he meets a fellow passenger, Charlie finds himself with another promise to fulfill, and it results in him falling head over heels in love with Gabi (Evan Rachel Wood), a beautiful musician. However, a vicious gangster (Mads Mikkelsen) has already laid claim to Gabi, and has no intention of letting her go. Determined to protect her, Charlie enters into the Romanian underworld to get her back. Millennium Entertainment releases Fredrik Bond's Charlie Countryman November 15th.

I'm very intrigued by the film, but that has to be one of the worst trailers I've ever seen.
