Though the film didn't get much buzz out of the Cannes Film Festival, the HBO Films drama Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight from director Stephen Frears (High Fidelity, The Queen) is coming to the cable network this fall. Now a teaser trailer has surfaced for the courtroom drama that chronicles Ali's battle in the Supreme Court after he was drafted into the Vietnam War at the height of his boxing fame, but refused to fight as an objector of the war itself. However, the film mostly focuses on the relationship between Justice Harlan (Christopher Plummer) and his clerk (Benjamin Walker), and some found that disappointing.
The teaser trailer for Stephen Frears' Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight from HBO (via Bleeding Cool):
Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight looks at Muhammad Ali’s historic Supreme Court battle from behind closed doors. When Ali was drafted into the Vietnam War at the height of his boxing career, his claim to conscientious objector status led to a controversial legal battle that rattled the U.S. judicial system right up to the highest court in the land. Christopher Plummer, Frank Langella, Benjamin Walker, Ed Begley Jr., Barry Levinson, and Danny Glover star in the film from director Stephen Frears (The Queen) and writer Shawn Slovo (Captain Corelli's Mandolin) and the film arrives on HBO on Saturday, October 5th at 9pm.

I would call myself a enthusiast and amateur historian of sorts when it comes to Ali. This interests me on 2 levels. Level 1: the behind the scenes debate concerning Ali. Level 2: my wife won't watch it with me, which means I get a night off from romantic comedies.
