Similo Sci-Fi Short

"We can start from scratch." Damn, there are so many outstanding sci-fi shorts out there. Here's another one that we're anxiously awaiting as this is only a teaser trailer, but it looks stunning. The short is called Similo and is directed by Spanish filmmaking duo Zacarias & Macgregor, starring Aloma de Balma and Javier Rios. Set in 2065 on Antarctica, Similo is about a couple that gets together again. "She is looking for love. He is searching for his own identity." There's some sexuality/nudity in this which makes it a bit NSFW, but otherwise it's a captivating trailer featuring the mesmerizing music from Take Shelter. Check this out.

Here's the first NSFW teaser trailer for Zacarias & Macgregor's short film Similo, in high def on Vimeo:

Thanks to GeekTyrant for the tip on this. Synopsis from Vimeo: 2065. The entire planet is hit by the effects of climate change. One of the few places that remain habitable is Antarctica, where big corporations have built private cities. Hebe and Ciro get back together again. She is looking for love. He is searching for his own identity. Similo is written, produced and directed by "Zacarias & Macgregor" or Miguel de Olaso and Bruno Zacarías. For more info on the two Spanish filmmakers behind this and the short (with concept art) visit blackmilk.eu. This was originally filmed back in 2009 and has been in post-production since with Kickstarter fundraising along the way. The short should be out in full in a few weeks. What do you think?

So that was Oblivion of the spotless mind in Spanish? Apart from that it looks great...

Amazing visuals, though I can't imagine the story being something original, felt a bit like oblivion, I would definitely watch a full feature. But will have to make do with the short first. So bring it on!

Gorgeous, just too Oblivion. Even if it was written before.
