We've already seen a good amount of gorgeous footage from The Great Gatsby, but only just recently have we gotten a taste of the original music crafted for Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel. Now a new trailer has surfaced from Interscope Geffen A&M Records because it gives the spotlight to Fergie's jazzy and electronic contribution to the film's soundtrack with a lot of fast-paced editing and partying. It's a very energetic trailer, and it seems like it's certainly geared towards getting the younger audiences interested in the film without including heavy drama from the previous trailers. Watch!
Here's the new trailer for Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby from Interscope Gefffen A&M Records:
The Great Gatsby is directed by Baz Luhrmann (of Moulin Rouge and Romeo + Juliet previously) from a script he wrote himself with Craig Pearce, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel of the same name. Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire), a Midwesterner now living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and finds himself drawn into his social circle, becoming a witness to obsession and tragedy. Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke, Isla Fisher and more also star in the movie hitting theaters in 3D on May 10th this summer.

I think the movie looks amazing and could have been a classic but the bad pop music completely kills it for me. Sucks.

That's his style. Moulin Rouge did the same thing.

A better example would be Romeo and Juliet. That said, while I loved RandJ and MR I'm not sold on this either.
