TGB Episode 149: Ash and The Evil Deadites (Guest: Brian Collins)

March 28, 2013

TGB - The Evil Dead

On this week's episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim (sans Jeremy) is joined by guest Brian Collins from Horror Movie a Day (HMAD) and Badass Digest to go through their latest picks of the week, the newest in DVD & Blu-ray releases, and the new trailers for Roland Emrich's White House Down and James Mangold's The Wolverine. The main topic of the night was a comprehensive review of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead Franchise, in honor of the new Evil Dead coming out. The guys talk over the three films including their favorites and the impact they've had on horror. They also speculate on the success of the new version.

The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Wednesday nights starting ~7:30PM PST. You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records.

Great episode. 'The Wolverine' is not actually a sequel to 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' takes place after 'X-Men: The Last Stand'

I can barely make out what Brian Collins is saying, does the sound get any better? I tried listening to his answer to the favourite film question three times and I still can't make it out.

😛 I thought that too! It sounded like the whole time he was making this face (-_-) LOL.

I'm with you guys on Army of Darkness. I just think it's a silly film and doesn't really fit in the trilogy for me. While I miss Jeremy, I wanted to congratulate you Tim for the great job hosting alone and keeping the high quality of the podcast intact! You're of my favorite podcast hosts 🙂
